Next-gen Toyota Supra leaked

The new generation of the iconic sports car made between 1979 and 2002, the Supra, is almost is almost here, and the Japanese automaker Toyota may have leaked an image of it, that show high resemblance to the competition’s “Z” series at Nissan.
The image that ended up on the internet is showing us new aggressive lines, previewing the next generation of the Supra sports car, which theoretically should compete against the Nissan GT-R, but judging by its exterior design, the vehicle looks more like the z350 or z370.
No official details about the next-gen Supra have leaked with the image but as a reminder the sports car used to offer two engine choices: the 3.5 liter V6 delivering 350 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, and the larger 5.0 liter V8 with its 450 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque.
Rumors are that the new generation of the Toyota Supra will be actually a hybrid where an electric motor will help the smaller V6 powerplant to get the sports car to top speeds of more than 170 – 180 mph.
The next-gen Toyota Supra is scheduled to hit this year’s Tokyo Motor Show in the form of a concept, with the production version being officially unveiled sometimes in 2014, going on sale just a year later, in 2015.
