Being officially presented during last month’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the new generation of the Audi S8 is almost here and it’s taking another step closer to its future customers with the German based automaker launching a video where it’s showing us what the luxurious sedan can do if it is in its element.
The new generation of the Audi S8 is also fitted with a cylinder deactivation system that can cut down one bank to become a four-cylinder, along with the direct-injection, the energy recuperation and the “classic” stop / start, making the vehicle burn 23 percent less fuel than its predecessor, at 13.2 liters per 100 km (17.8 mpg US) in an average cycle.
Audi has recently announced that the new generation of the S8 will start at 111.900 EUR and the vehicle will be available on the auto market in spring 2012, along with the new S6 and S7 Sportback, coming as a 2013 model year.
