Ghost Story

(1981) ***

This movie wasn't scary much, more of just a thriller, more of a who dun it..

Ghost Story centers around four old men (John Houseman, Fred Astaire, Douglas Fairbanks and Melvyn Douglas-all great actors) who call themselves The Chowder Society, and is set in New England during a very harsh winter. Don, the son of one of the Chowder Society members (Craig Wasson), returns to his hometown after his brother falls to his death from a high rise in New York following a spectral visit.

This spectral visit, Eva, likes to play with her men mostly all at once egging on jealousy between them. No one took on the responsibility of marrying her, which I think pissed her off. For some reason, the Chowder Society has to visit her all together, giving the impression that there is going to be more than just a group hug.

Eva ends up picking them off one by one in their old age while playing with Don and cheating on him with his brother.

The movie was decent with a tossing off the couch sex scene. The 80's special effects gives some unintentional humor with a tiny flapping penis.
