Based on the facelifted version of the Coupe, a new model is close to ending up in Audi’s lineup, the RS5 Convertible, a soft-top high-performance vehicle rivaling BMW’s M3.
According to carscoop, the new Audi RS5 Cabrio will most likely hit the production line with its four-seat layout and electrically operated fabric top, just like the A5 and S5 convertibles.
Rumors about the RS5 Cabrio’s powerplant are dead because it is expected that the convertible will use the same engine as the coupe, the 4.2 liter V8 petrol, which is delivering 450 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, mated to an S-tronic double-clutch six-gear transmission which will power all the wheels through the Quattro system.
