2012 BMW F30 3-Series to debut in October

After being spied a few times earlier this year while taking on the Nurburgring or other tracks, the newest generation of the F30 3-Series is almost here and it will be available in 9 trim levels, including a hybrid that it’s promising more power and less fuel consumption than its “brothers”.
According to the Bimmerpost.com, the newest generation of the 3-Series will be offered in five choices for gasoline engines, with the 316i (134 horsepower), the 320i (181 HP), 325i (218 HP, 328i (242 HP – 2.0 liters inline four-cylinder twinpower turbo), 335i (302 HP, 3.0 liters, six-cylinder twinpower turbo). Diesel lovers will have to choose from three versions, the 316d (114 HP), the 318d (141 HP) and the 320d (181 HP), with the 323d and 335d likely to come later.
The newest generation of the 3-Series will also offered as a hybrid with the 3.0 liter gasoline engine and an electric motor that will deliver 335 horsepower. We don’t know for now more details about the hybrid version of the 2012 3-Series but it’s expected to be similar to the one found on the new F10 Active Hybrid 5, based on the 535i Sedan.
Bimmerpost.com says that the new generation of the 3-Series will debut on the 14 of October this year and its European sales are expected to begin after the next year Geneva Auto Show, while the F30 will arrive in the United States in late spring 2012.
