Some flood history
I thought this may be of some interest if anyone is concerned about the flood. I'm sure most of you are aware but there was a similar flood of 1973 that occurred. The corps had determined then that the Mississippi was beginning to take a more western approach as to changing direction. Basically begin flowing down the Atchafalaya. I found these two articles that are an interesting read. http://www.perc.org/articles/article904.php and http://nmisscommentor.com/random-firings/preparing-for-the-flood-john-mcphee-on-the-atchafalaya-and-the-river-control-structure/. I am by no means saying this is going to happen, but its surely going to effect our fishing, both salt and fresh. We may be able to catch bass 30 miles off shore, I just hope they dont put a 2 fish limit per person like the red snapper...
