Rides : Cadillac Recalls the 2012 CTS due to a Braking Issue

Recall roundup: 2012 Cadillac CTS

The North American based automotive giant General Motors has recently announced a recall which will affect 674 Cadillac CTS from 2012 model year because of a braking issue which might lead to a crash.
According to General Motors, only 674 units of the 2012 model year Cadillac CTS will be affected by the recall and owners of the model will have to make a trip back to the dealerships because a power vacuum brake boost pushrod retention nut was not properly tightened, the nut could loosen and allow the pushrod to separate from the brake pedal which could result in a loss of ability to brake and a vehicle crash without prior warning.
General Motors says that Cadillac dealers will inspect the power vacuum brake boost pushrod retention nut and if necessary the piece will be replaced free of charge. 674 Cadillac CTS from 2012 model year, made between October 21, 2011 and October 26, 2011, will be affected by this recall.
Owners of the above mentioned vehicles will have to make a trip back to the Cadillac dealerships and the Safety Recall apparently began on November 1, 2011. Owners can contact Cadillac at 800.458.8006 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’ Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236.
