The German based automaker Porsche is putting its new 911 generation in the spotlights again by releasing a video in which factory driver Patrick Long takes the 2012 Carrera S around the Laguna Seca for a lap as part of the Rennsport Reunion IV.
As a reminder, the new generation of the 911 (991) Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter flat six-cylinder engine which is developing 400 horsepower, allowing the sports car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds when equipped with the automatic transmission and launch control.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is already available in the United States for a starting price of 107.796 USD, while its smaller brother, the Carrera, costs 91.041 USD. Deliveries will be made starting from early 2012.
The Laguna Seca Raceway has been originally constructed back in 1957 near Salinas and Monterey in California, USA, having a total length of 2.238 miles (3.602 km) with a 300 foot (91 m) elevation change.
